#1
new thing you asked for: more tournaments.
More divisions, more ways to compete at your level.

Players, parents and fans from our youth leagues, adult leagues and tournaments took part. We read every response.

We did.

Four changes that came straight from your feedback. Some are done. Some we're still building.

Competitive balance

League Ratings.
Cap Structure.
Fairer games.

Fair competition was your #1 priority. So we spent months building a system to protect it.

We did

How it works

Every player rated 1 to 7. Every division capped.

  • Every adult league player has a rating from 1 to 7. Most sit at or around a 3.
  • Add up your roster's ratings. The total has to fit under your division's cap.
  • Division 4, Division 5, Men's Rec and Co-ed Rec also cap the highest rating any one player can hold.
  • Teams with an average rating above the threshold get flagged and may move up a division.

Longer seasons

games.
More hockey.

7 in 10 adult league players asked for longer seasons. Fewer than 1 in 10 didn't. So men's divisions now play an 18-game regular season.

Nearly one year in.
Parity is working.

After almost a full year with our tournament ratings system, we're encouraged by the great parity we're seeing across our tournament levels.

Closer games

Most notably in the Men's B and Men's C divisions.

New: two rated players max

Since October 9, 2026, teams can carry up to two rated players from the division above, down from four. Our research shows that will make parity even stronger.
